Sky Bird
Dimensions: 4' x 3'
Materials: Paper, Soft pastels, Sculpture foam, magnets, Cardboard tubing, wood, wood glue, black paint
A stoic space themed sci-fy map that holds a sense of power and mysticism to it. Diagonal geometric lines represent the map of the cosmos (when space travel is available in 2077). The use of neutral dark color pallet gives a sense of age and wear. Conceptually this map is held to the wall using magnets inlayed in the black spikes, which are meant to represent certain landmarks ("spacemarks") in space. The brown line found inside of a carrying tube is conceptually a map to travel to specific parts of the galaxy, each tube contains a different map. All stored in a carrying case for easy travel and safe storage while exploring the universe.
